Common questions

How do I get my songs into chordlist?

Choose the folder your library lives in when you first open the app. It can be changed later under Settings → Songs Folder. Then add songs whichever way suits: write your own in the app, paste a lyrics or tab URL, share a supported page to chordlist from another app, or copy Artist/Song Title.md files into the folder with Files or Finder and pull down on the library to rescan.

How adding and importing songs works
My songs are not showing up.

chordlist reads Markdown files one level below the songs folder, so a song has to sit in an artist folder as Artist/Song Title.md — a file directly in the folder, or nested deeper, is not listed. Pull down on the library to rescan after editing files elsewhere. If the folder is in iCloud Drive, its contents can still be in the cloud rather than on the device; mark it Keep Downloaded in Files before a rehearsal.

I paid and Unlimited Songs did not unlock.

Open Settings → chordlist unlimited → Unlock Unlimited Songs, then tap Restore Purchases on the screen that appears. The unlock belongs to the App Store account that bought it rather than to a device, so restoring works anywhere that account is signed in — check the device is signed in with the right one. If it stays locked, email support@chordlist.app with the App Store receipt and we will look into it.

I want a refund.

Purchases in the app are made through the App Store, and only Apple can refund them: ask at reportaproblem.apple.com with the Apple Account that made the purchase. If something is not working, email support@chordlist.app first — a fix usually arrives sooner than a refund does.

I have a question about a chordlink order.

chordlink is a physical product bought through Stripe and delivered to addresses in Germany, so its orders, deliveries, returns, and refunds are handled by email rather than by Apple — including the redemption link for chordlist unlimited that arrives after an order. Write to support@chordlist.app from the address you ordered with.

How do I report a bug or ask for a feature?

Settings → Send Feedback opens an email to feedback@chordlist.app with your app version and iOS version already filled in. From a TestFlight build you can also use Send Beta Feedback in the TestFlight app, which attaches a screenshot and the device details for you.
